Lindsay

Lindsay is happily married to Matt, her partner in crime, and is the proud mama of their two children, Noey and Matthew Jr.  She was raised in Newburyport and spent most of her adolescent years active in soccer, track, and dance.  She is a graduate of Emerson College and went on to study Nutrition and Health Sciences at Simmons College in 2006.   Lindsay received her mat and reformer certification from Boston Body Pilates in 2009 and has since dedicated her life to health, fitness and wellness. She has received extensive training in barre, pilates, cycle, and group fitness. Lindsay takes several training courses and workshops annually to ensure that the Studio 5 schedule offers a wide variety of popular, effective and fun fitness classes.    
 
Lindsay is dedicated, focused and driven but does not take herself seriously. She is rather goofy and often says things that make others blush.  Lindsay loves to eat good food and drink good wine while spending quality time with family and friends.  When it comes to Studio 5, Lindsay is committed to keeping the environment light-hearted, welcoming, and encouraging.  She wants everyone who walks through her doors to leave feeling empowered, inspired, and motivated, ready for more.  Come on over and try a class!  You’ll love both her and the studio!

Sara

Sara graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing and was also a member of the UNH Dance Team. She currently works full time as a labor and delivery nurse at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Her nursing and dancing background gives her a unique perspective and knowledge of anatomy and movement within the body. Sara's classes are full of creativity and she always (and I mean always) delivers a power-packed class that’s unique to her style. Sara is trained in barre, cycle, pilates and several other group fitness classes.

Jess

Jess is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and is also trained in several group fitness classes including indoor cycle, bootcamp, and interval training. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from Keene State College and a Master's in mental health counseling from Salem State University.

As a former college athlete, captain, and three-time All-American on the Keene State women's soccer team, health and fitness has always been part of her life both personally and professionally.  Jess’s knowledge of strength and conditioning is evident the moment you meet her.  Her classes are challenging, and she will push you to your physical limits, yet she always keeps her classes lots of fun.

Megan

Megan began excelling in competitive sports and fitness at an early age and was a plyometrics trainer and coach for several years.  During high school, she was selected as a member of the elite Future’s USA Field Hockey Olympic Development Program where she trained with some of the best athletes and coaches in the nation.   She went on to attended Sacred Heart University, where she continued to compete in Division 1 Field Hockey. Megan graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Media Studies. Megan has taken her love of fitness and has created a class that is strong and well directed from start to finish. She is trained in cycle and group-fitness.

Danielle

Danielle began her yogi journey in 2009 while looking for something to keep her physical body in shape after playing collegiate soccer for 4 years. Her first year of yoga consisted of solely practicing ashtanga. She soon found what she had been searching for physically had evolved into an internal transformation. Danielle received her 200 hour certification in 2012 from Yoga Loft Wilmington under Jen Ryan, Greg McGowin and Nicole Grant.

Danielle’s vinyasa and power classes are full of energy while linking the body and mind through breath. Through yoga she teaches her students that flexibility is not measured by the length of our muscles but our willingness to step up to the challenge. She provides her students with the tools to find balance and strength on their mat, and how to live a more balanced life off their mat.

Allison

Allison has enjoyed being active since her early days of competitive gymnastics, soccer and skiing. In college she began trail running and enjoyed the escape in nature and the adrenaline from a long run. After years of running she needed to switch it up because of injury, her doctor recommended yoga. Allison quickly became addicted to the feeling that yoga offered. In 2010 Allison completed her 200-hour RYT. Allison has taught yoga at various studios on the north shore and on Martha’s Vineyard. Allison is also trained in barre, pilates and other group fitness classes. She loves to mesh her teaching style and help clients move at their own pace, guiding them to their own personal edge.

Kelsey

Kelsey is an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor and ACE Certified Personal Trainer. Kelsey's passion for health and fitness stems from the enjoyment she gets when helping others achieve their fitness goals, as well as her natural desire to constantly challenge and better herself. She comes to Studio 5 with a strong background in Kickboxing, MMA, and Circuit style classes, as well as 1-on-1 client training. Kelsey is excited to join the Studio 5 team and bring her enthusiastic energy to her classes, in hopes of pushing and motivating you through a fun and effective workout.

Mary Jo

Mary Jo brings her energetic soul and experience to every class she instructs.  She's been an avid athlete her entire life.  From a competitive swimmer in her early years, to a collegiate basketball player, and a successful Triathlete. The transition from being a member of the audience to leading classes only made sense.

MJ is a certified fitness coach and spin instructor. She has been happily teaching fast paced, motivational and challenging classes since 2010. Her main focus is always on coaching each client to reach his/her full potential all while keeping a smile on their face. Mary Jo's sense of humor is contagious, and no doubt makes everyone in the room laugh alongside her.

Meaghan

Meaghan fell in love with working out after graduating college. As someone who had played sports and had been active her whole life, she missed the team environment sports was able to provide. Meaghan started with Studio 5 as a client and quickly realized she needed to make it part of her everyday life, but she wanted to be at the front, leading clients through challenging, functional workouts while playing her favorite throw-back beats. If you’re looking to improve form, sweat to your favorite 90’s song, and feel motivated to get through that next set, Meaghan is your girl. She is trained in cycle and group-fitness.

Stephanie

Stephanie is a certified barre and cycle instructor. She is a wife and new mom who loves all things fitness and living a healthy, balanced life. After spending 10 years in the event planning industry and after much evaluation of her priorities in life, Stephanie decided to shift gears professionally to allow for a work/life. 

The practice of barre has rejuvenated her mind, body and soul. She discovered her love for barre after tiring of the day to day grind at the gym. With a background in dance from a young age, the moment her hands hit the barre and the beat dropped, she was hooked. Her mind and body felt the benefit from the practice within a month and from there, a 5 class a week regimen was a staple in her life. The introduction of cycle classes followed organically in an effort to sprinkle in cardio based training. The two practices were combined and became her outlet and ultimately, her new career. When the opportunity arose to train to become certified (in both barre and cycle) she pounced and has been leading group fitness classes ever since! 

Stephanie strives for all of her classes to be challenging, but also accessible for all fitness levels, offering challenges and modifications for each series. She also makes it a point to have a lot fun along the way. In her classes, you can expect a great playlist, endless energy, encouragement & motivation, knowledgeable tactile adjustments to form & alignment and most importantly, a lot of fun!
